Nestled in the coastal hillsides of the scenic Monterey Peninsula, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful motorsports facilities in the world. Its aesthetic appeal is now further enhanced with the addition of giant artwork of the legendary Mazda 787B to the hillside visible to those traveling the Monterey-Salinas Highway (State Route 68). The mural painted on a plywood board stands at 32 feet long and 10 feet tall.

The rich and storied history of then-named Laguna Seca Raceway officially began November 9, 1957 with the inaugural race called the Eighth Annual Pebble Beach Road Races. This was a continuation of the racing through the forest at nearby Pebble Beach that began in 1950 and ended six years later.
The year-long 60th anniversary celebration of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca kicks off with a new logo that bridges the past and present of the iconic circuit.
The new logo will be used throughout Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca’s diamond anniversary. It features elements of the original 1957 design such as the sports car and the Cypress tree landmark. The number 60 is inscribed on the race car, and the shape of the famed 11-turn raceway is incorporated prominently in the text.
