Ferrari Racing Days to Feature Corse Clienti Program

The new Ferrari Corse Clienti racing season will get under way on 18 March at the Japanese circuit of Suzuka with the year’s first Ferrari Racing Days. This special event will not only host the inaugural round of the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, but offer the Asian public the chance to see together on track the main non-competitive activities offered by the Maranello company, among them the exclusive XX and F1 Clienti programmes.

The protagonists of these programmes get the chance to see how they get on at the wheel of their own cars in sessions of free practice alongside professional drivers and under the supervision of Ferrari’s engineers. One special tutor this time is the driver Davide Rigon, who works for the Scuderia in competitive activities linked to chassis development and will help the clients with driving historic Formula 1 cars.

Alongside Rigon as guest of honour at the event is Mika Salo, former Formula 1 driver and great friend of the Scuderia Ferrari, for whom he raced six times in the 1999 season in place of Michael Schumacher following his accident at Silverstone. The Finnish driver, commentator for the television broadcaster MTV3, will this year experience the start of the Formula 1 world championship in an unusual way thanks to exclusive video clips available on the site www.ferrari.com.
