Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Prepares to be the Focus of the World

There is a phenomenal following around the world for MotoGP™. The combination of amazing overtaking maneuvers, speeds of up to 200 mph and ecstatic and often elaborate victory celebrations continue to attract more and more fans each year to the competitive motorcycle racing that is MotoGP™.

Hundreds of journalists, photographers and broadcasters travel from around the world to gather alongside the more than 100,000 fans who flock to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to cheer on their favorite rider.       

In excess of 200 countries receive broadcasts of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix with coverage delivered to more than 337 million households worldwide.

The television production staff coordinates more than 20 trackside cameras, two onboard micro-cameras on each MotoGP™ bike to capture every angle of the rider and his motorcycle, high-frequency cameras on pit lane and overhead helicopters.

“For three days we are the focus of the motorcycle racing world,” says Gill Campbell, CEO/general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “We enjoy our time in the limelight and know that we put on an experience the fans will not soon forget with incredible racing to match.”
