SBRacing to Co-Host St. Patrick’s Day Twilight Ride
Starting at 5:30 p.m. on March 17 - Wear Green!

Bicycle enthusiasts are discovering what motorsports enthusiasts worldwide have known for over 50 years: the 11-turn circuit at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is not only challenging, but the perfect place to pedal, climb and descend safely on two wheels.

SBRacing is co-hosting the March ride and is a mountain bike promotions group and racing team dedicated to creating fun times for cyclists. Knowing that many of their mountain bike racers spend quite a bit of time on skinny tires, they thought it would be fun to host a six lap race and prize for the rider wearing the most green on the special St. Patrick’s day edition of the Twilight Ride. The third Twilight Ride of 2010 will take place Wednesday, March 17 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., beginning in the paddock area located in the interior of the circuit. Light & Motion (cycling lights) will be joining the Twilight Ride to assist the cyclists with demo lights and will raffling off a Vega 120 bicycle light for those who join the ride.

The Twilight Rides are informal and the 2.238-mile track will be open to all levels of cyclists, including children. The cost is $10 per rider and a portion of the proceeds is donated to charity.

The remaining Twilight rides for 2010 include April 14 (pre-Sea Otter Classic), May 12 (in association with 16th Annual Monterey County Bike Week), May 19 (with the American Le Mans Series), June 16, July 21 (with the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix), August 10 (with the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion), September 15, October 20, November 17 and December 15.
