The final Twilight Ride for the 2010 season will be Wednesday, December 15 from 4-6 p.m. with the Naval Postgraduate School Foundation Cycling Club. Special events include a kid’s race in pit lane, a five lap circuit race and a 10 meter slow motion contest. HER Helmet Thursdays as well as Plus 3 Network will be represented and bike mechanic services will be provided by Sports Center Bicycles of Seaside. It will be informal and the track will be open to recreational cyclists throughout the entire time.

The cost for the Twilight Ride is $10 per rider, all riders must have a helmet and the proceeds from the Twilight Ride will be donated to the Pacific Grove Santa Project. Additionally, the club will accept new, unwrapped toys for kids of all ages on behalf of the Pacific Grove Kiwanis Santa Project benefiting local families in exchange for raffle tickets to win bike related prizes.

Light & Motion will be at the Twilight Ride to assist those with bike lights to borrow for the Twilight Ride. Light & Motion has been pioneering state-of-the-art portable lighting systems for 20 years. In 2008 they launched a line of LED bicycle lights, the lightest, brightest and most reliable lights available worldwide, which are designed and built right here on the Monterey Peninsula.
