Velo Club Monterey Bicycle Racing Club to Host September Twilight Ride
September 15, 2010

The Velo Club Monterey Racing Club will be hosting the Twilight Cycling ride at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Wednesday, September 15 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Circuit riders will experience the thrill of riding Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as the race track includes a challenging 300-foot climb and an awe-inspiring descent down the world-famous Corkscrew.

The cost is $10 per rider and all riders must have a helmet. The Twilight Rides are informal and the 2.238-mile track will be open to all levels of cyclists, including a two lap time trial for adults and a one lap time trial for youths.

The Velo Club Monterey prides itself on promoting cycling around the community. Their members regularly volunteer during the Bike Week events in May, at bicycle rodeos throughout the year, at local races and centuries, including the Sea Otter Classic. The club members work tirelessly to advocate bicycles and bicycling wherever they go.

Upcoming Twilight Rides include October 20, November 17 and December 15.
