Become Part of Race Day as a Volunteer During World Superbike Event

Ever wanted to be part of an international motorsports event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca? Here are ways for you to join the racing family:

Join the Track Marshal Crew. USARM works at the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship GEICO Motorcycle U.S. Round featuring MotoAmerica Championship of Monterey June 22-24. More details are available HERE.

Become a volunteer at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. As a volunteer you will work for one day at the track, and in return you will receive 2 free 3-day passes for the event. On the day that you are working, you will be provided with water, soda, and a food voucher. It is a fun experience and a cool way to look behind the curtain of a major motorsports event.

Departments seeking volunteer positions that need to be filled for this event are listed below. If you would like to volunteer during this race, please send an e-mail HERE indicating:

- In which position would you like to volunteer?
- On which day you would like to volunteer?
- Would you like to work in the morning or afternoon?

 
Medical Support Volunteer

As a medical support volunteer you will be assigned in teams of two to one of our medics that are positioned around the track. In the case of an accident, you will assist the medic by carrying an injured driver or spectator on a stretcher to the nearest medical facility at the track. The shift is long, but you will get an hour time off for lunch, and there are additional times off when the track is cold (no racing) that vary by day. And if there are no accidents, you have the best track side seats in
the house.

Volunteer shift is 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM.

 
Raceway Store Restock Volunteer

As a raceway store restocking volunteer, you will help with bagging, re-stocking, managing the sticker counter, line control, and other various needs of a retail operation as assigned by your Assistant Director.

AM Shift is 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
PM Shift is 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 
Media Center Volunteer

You will be part of a team assisting international journalists with questions on facility, signing out padlocks/keys and photo vests, greeting journalists as they enter the facility etc. You will also help with photocopying services for race teams and journalists after each race session and assisting with restocking water/sodas in refrigerator. You are the grease that keeps the media center running. You are asked to wear dark colored, closed-toe shoes, long dark colored pants and your volunteer t-shirt.

AM Shift is 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
PM Shift is 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 
Will Call Volunteer

Will call located at Embassy Suites in Seaside is where spectators, race teams, media, and other groups come to get their tickets. Your job is to work with other volunteers, verifying ID’s of drivers, media, owners etc. and issue them their tickets.

AM Shift is 7:00 a.m. – Noon
PM Shift is Noon – 5:00 p.m.

 
Guest Services Volunteer

As a volunteer in guest services you can be assigned to a variety of positions within the team, such as help with parade lap waivers and staging; or managing entrance through gates on to the track.

AM Shift is 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
PM Shift is 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 
Tear Down Volunteer

We are looking for some volunteers that can help tear down displays, exhibits, tents and more after the conclusion of the event. You need to be able to lift to 50 lbs. and work well with others. You are asked to wear dark colored, closed-toe shoes, long dark colored pants and your volunteer t-shirt.

Shift is 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

 
Go-Kart Operations Volunteer

As go-kart operations volunteer you will be part of a team of volunteers who are helping guest into the go-karts, operate the start/finish flag, flag corners and pick up cones that have been hit back in their place. Bring a hat, it can get warm in the paddock.

AM Shift is 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
PM Shift is 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
