The Naval Postgraduate School Foundation Cycling Club (NPSFCC) will host the November Twilight Ride at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca! The monthly Twilight Cycling event that allows riders of all ages and skill levels to take to the famed 11-turn, 2.238-mile WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca road course will take place this month on Wednesday, November 20, at the new winter hours from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Bicycle riders can experience the thrill of pedaling WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and is the perfect place to train hard, ride for fun or do a little of both. Traffic flow is in one direction and 100 percent bicycles. There’s the 180 feet of overall elevation change to test your stamina and the 18 percent downhill grade through the world-famous Corkscrew, and an overall 109-foot drop between Turns 8 and 9, to test your determination. Throw in the spectacular rural Monterey County landscape and you have the perfect recipe for a great early evening of fun and exercise.
This month’s ride is hosted by NPS Foundation Cycling Club. NPSFCC is an NPS Foundation Club dedicated to supporting NPS Students who enjoy riding bicycles for recreation, exercise, and competition. They have several rides each week as well as opportunities to volunteer in the community. NPSFCC welcomes riders of all levels and disciplines. They have members who are active in both road and mountain biking with experience levels ranging from National Champions to first-year riders. Click HERE to learn more.
Food and beverages will be provided, and proceeds will go to the NPS foundation.
Twilight Cycling is one of the many community service-oriented programs that WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca conduct throughout the year.
The cost to participate is $10 per rider. Helmet is required, as are lights for your bike, now that the sun is setting earlier. Contact the club or the track using the information below if you have questions about lights as there may be some available for loan.
