EBC Brakes To Be Title Sponsor Of MotoAmerica Superbike Series

MotoAmerica announced that EBC Brakes will be the title sponsor of the MotoAmerica Superbike class for the 2019 season with the premier class in the series now titled the MotoAmerica EBC Brakes Superbike class.

The title sponsorship of the EBC Brakes Superbike class is the British-based high-performance aftermarket disc brake company’s first foray into sponsorship with MotoAmerica and the company, based in the U.S. in Las Vegas, is looking forward to the partnership.

WorldSBK Testing Concludes with Bautista the Man to Beat in Australia
WorldSBK season begins at Phillip Island Feb. 22-24

Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) stormed to the top of the timesheets again on Tuesday at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit with a best lap of 1’30.303, a whole 0.440 seconds faster than his best from the previous day and nearly half a second quicker than four-time world champion Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), fourth fastest at the Aussie racetrack.

MotoAmerica Superbikes Set To Air On FS2, Announce On-Air Talent

MotoAmerica and FOX Sports are pleased to announce that FS2 is now the “Home of MotoAmerica Superbike Racing” with the network set to deliver 90 minutes of live or same-day coverage of the MotoAmerica Superbike class on both Saturday and Sunday from each of the 10 rounds of the 2019 MotoAmerica Series.

Beaubier Leads Two-Day MotoAmerica Test
Five Of The Top Superbike Riders Converge In Northern California

MotoAmerica pre-season testing got underway with five of the top Superbike racers in the MotoAmerica Superbike Series converging at Thunderhill Raceway Park on January 30-31.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Cameron Beaubier and Garrett Gerloff was joined at the Northern California racetrack by Yoshimura Suzuki’s Toni Elias and Josh Herrin and the single-entry Estenson Racing/Attack Performance team of JD Beach.

MotoAmerica president, three-time 500cc Grand Prix motorcycle world champion and Monterey resident Wayne Rainey shared some thoughts about the 2019 season. Rainey continues to drive momentum for motorcycle road racing in the United States with the MotoAmerica series, which will bring all five classes to join the international MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship on-track at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca July 12-14.

Rainey is confident that the 2019 MotoAmerica Series will be the best yet – both on and off the track.

2019 WorldSBK Entry List Revealed
Provisional WorldSBK line up for the new season announced

Ahead of the new MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship season, the provisional list of entrants has been made public announcing 18 riders set to line up on the 2019 WorldSBK grid. Alongside established names of the category, many are the emerging figures that will debut in the new campaign, which will begin at Phillip Island on February 23-24 and comes to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for its ninth round on July 12-14.

Winners in the first of two races were decided with Kawasaki rider Jonathan Rea continuing to rewrite the history books with another victory followed by a celebration for the ages.

Superbike World Championship and MotoAmerica Riders Kick-off Monterey Race Weekend with Ride Over Golden Gate Bridge

A Superbike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge highlighted the start of this weekend’s World Superbike event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The 2017 WeatherTech Raceway winners Jonathan Rea of Kawasaki and Chaz Davies of Ducati led a contingent of eight riders across the historic landmark.

With an escort from the California Highway Patrol and photographers and film crews leading the way, the riders dressed in full race gear rode a 6.5-mile route to Cioppino’s Restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf for lunch and an autograph session with fans.

Wild card entrant will pull double duty in World Superbike and MotoAmerica Superbike

Wild card entrant Josh Herrin will be on the World Superbike grid for the first time at this weekend’s MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship GEICO Motorcycle U.S. Round featuring MotoAmerica Championship of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The 28-year-old rider will be pulling duty in both World Superbike and MotoAmerica Superbike on the same Attack Performance/2 Wheel Legal Yamaha YZF-R1 with the No. 57 plate in World Superbike and No. 2 in MotoAmerica.

The international World Superbike grid features riders from 11 countries at the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship GEICO Motorcycle U.S. Round featuring MotoAmerica Championship of Monterey June 22-24. San Diego’s Jake Gagne makes his return one year after his debut on the World Championship stage with the Red Bull Honda team, completing part of a trio of American riders this year that also includes fellow rookie P.J. Jacobsen and wild card entrant Josh Herrin.
