Known around the world as one of the greatest road courses, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is owned by the County of Monterey and managed by SCRAMP (Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula) a 501(c)4 non-profit organization, which is comprised of dedicated and passionate volunteers who take pride in providing a wonderful guest experience while simultaneously giving back to the local community.
Since Laguna Seca’s beginning in 1957, when 62 local companies and scores of individuals offered their services and donations, to the now world-renowned race track, it has been a community effort that brings international racing to the Monterey Peninsula.
Laguna Seca was originally part of the Fort Ord military base before being deeded to the County of Monterey in 1974. Now, years later, the Monterey County-owned race and recreation facility retains its community relationship through the non-profit 501(c)4 Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula.
