IndyCar points Leader Newgarden makes late charge to win Texas

Josef Newgarden came seemingly from nowhere to win the latest electrifying NTT IndyCar Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The 2019 championship leader fended off Alexander Rossi in a thrilling duel over the final 10 laps to capture the DXC Technology 600. Newgarden, in the No. 2 Fitzgerald USA Team Penske Chevrolet, won by 0.8164 of a second to collect his 13th career win, third this season and first on a superspeedway.

Camping Dates: September 12-15, Thursday- Sunday night.

Premier & Reserved Camping are a 4-night minimum from Wednesday through Sunday. Admission ticket required for duration of event.

Quick Facts & Fees

  • There is a $10 processing fee per order.
  • Check-In: 2 p.m. | Check-Out: Noon.
  • Camping must be paid in full at time of booking.
  • Eight people per site allowed.
  • Pets are allowed (limit 2 per site). Fees apply and rabies shot verification is required.
  • If you change your reservation a $10 change fee will apply.

Water/Electricity Fees:

  • $40 per night
  • $35 per night (Age 62 or older, military, and disabled)

Sites without Hook-Ups:

  • $35 per night*
  • $30 per night* (Age 62 or older, military, and disabled)

Extra Vehicle:

  • $15 per night

Dogs (limit 2 per site):

  •  $2 each per night

Cancellations must be received by mail, email, or fax 5 business days prior to arrival date, and are subject to a $15 cancellation fee per site.

Chaparral and Can-Am Circle Campground

(Some sites will accommodate tents with stakes)

RV Camping is available year-round (with exception of premier event dates) at the Chaparral “B” Campground. Can-Am “C” Campground is available between April 1 and October 31.

  • Non-Potable Water and Electricity (30 Amps)
  • Leveled sites with a black top pad suitable for cars, pick-up campers, RVs
  • Bathrooms and hot showers nearby
  • Picnic tables and fire pits

Grand Prix Campground

Grand Prix “A” Camping is available between April 1 and October 31.

Campground features:

  • Hook-ups are unavailable
  • Leveled sites with a dirt pad suitable for tents requiring stakes, cars, pick-up campers, RVs
  • Bathroom, hot showers, playground, and water nearby
  • Picnic tables and fire pits

Lexus Builds New Platform Greeting Visitors to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

As the Official Luxury Vehicle of Monterey County’s WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Lexus is expanding its Experience Amazing campaign to the legendary race circuit. Lexus completed a new platform with a stunning Lexus LC angled on top to welcome visitors prior to this week’s Amgen Tour of California, presented by Lexus, and June’s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. The display is centrally located as visitors and race teams enter from South Boundary Road, which is the main entrance during the premier events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
