Monterey Motorsport Park Named Official Storage Solution of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

News

Monterey Motorsport Park — an exclusive, upscale garage-condo facility and car community located adjacent to Monterey Regional Airport minutes from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca — has been named the Official Storage Solution for the track’s 2018 season. As part of its association with WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey Motorsport Park will have a booth in the vendor paddock for the track’s 2nd Annual Spring Classic May 18–20, highlighting golden eras in racing from the 1960s through the 2000s.

“We’re excited to be an official sponsor at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca,” said Ralph N. Borelli, chairman of Borelli Investment Company, one of Monterey Motorsport Park’s co-developers. “The facility is perfect for motorsports fans who live on the Monterey Peninsula or regularly drive or fly in for car-related activities — from the annual Monterey Car Week to weekends at the legendary circuit. We’re excited to have the opportunity to reach out to racers and fans regarding what we think is a one-of-a-kind facility.”

Monterey Motorsport Park represents the next evolution in luxury garage-condos, with 84 units ranging from slightly less than 700 sq. ft. to more than 4,250 sq. ft. The complex is ideal for amateur racers, high-performance driving experience (HPDE) enthusiasts or passionate motorsports fans who need a high-quality environment in which to store their valuable car or motorcycle collections. The units are also the perfect solution to free up home garage space by accommodating furniture from a second home, business and personal records, a boat, recreational equipment, or even extensive holiday decorations.

The stylish, modern garage-condos are designed with soaring ceilings of up to 25 feet. This provides plenty of room for a mezzanine built into every unit 13 feet above the garage floor — with access via an interior staircase. Owners are planning to customize these spaces into personal offices or plush weekend retreats with Internet access, cable TV, wet bars, and more. This will transform Monterey Motorsport Park from a sterile storage facility into a vibrant car community filled with collectors, track-day enthusiasts and racing fans.

In addition, businesses with minimal impact on water usage, parking and traffic are getting into the act, including Gordon McCall’s McCall Events — planning their move to Monterey Motorsport Park — or just be a part of the exciting car vibe. Each unit will have a large roll-up door as well as a walk-in door for owners and their guests. The facility will be fully fenced and access-controlled — with abundant lighting, video in common areas and an alarm in each unit. The complex has received approval from Monterey’s Planning Department — with construction set to start in August and opening slated for Q2 of 2019.

50% of the Space Is Already Gone

Although it’s early in the sales process, anticipation is so high that already 50% of the space at Monterey Motorsport Park has been spoken for. Owners have the potential to enjoy the appreciation of commercial real estate in the Monterey area, with businesses able to take advantage of prospective tax benefits. Financing, including SBA loans, is available.
