Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Ticket Purchases  


Who needs a ticket?

Anyone entering the facility needs a general admission ticket.  

What about children?

Children 15 and under are free with a paid adult.

Exception: Children pay full price for Premier Pit Row Suites. A Youth Flagroom rate is available for children ages 5-15.

What does General Admission get me?

General Admission gets you into the track, where you may watch the race from the grandstands or any of the surrounding hillsides. General Admission also includes Paddock access and complimentary general parking.

Where can I sit?

We have uncovered grandstands located near Turn 4 and Turn 11. Grandstand seating is first come, first served. Spectators may also sit on the hillside near Turn 2 or by the Corkscrew at Turn 8.

What is in the Paddock?

The Paddock is the “cold garage” area, where race teams set up their trailers and displays. Paddock access does not include “hot pit” access.   

Where do I park?

Complimentary General Parking is located in the Purple 10 area and can be accessed via the South Boundary Road entrance or the Watkins Gate entrance. 

You may purchase Preferred Parking, which is located in the Green Lakebed area.

There is no overnight parkingin the General or Preferred Parking areas. In order to leave your vehicle overnight, you must purchase a camping pass for one of our designated camping areas.

What time do the gates open and close?

Gates open at 7AM and close approximately 1 hour after the last event of the day.  The Highway 68 gate will remain open until midnight for campers.

What can I bring?

You may bring blankets, umbrellas and folding chairs to sit along the surrounding hillsides. Small ice chests are also permitted, but please do not bring glass items.

What is general camping?  

General camping is an open unimproved area located near Turns 9, 10 and 11 and is available on a first come, first served basis. You may bring a BBQ pit and a self contained fire pit, but fire is not allowed on the ground. 

You can leave the facility but must return before the gate closes at midnight.

Admission tickets are required for all who are camping for the duration of the race (children ages 15 and under are free). If you wish to stay Sunday night you may purchase an additional night of camping through the Ticket Office or Camping Committee. Pets are allowed in the campsites only and should not be left unattended.

What credit cards are accepted in the ticket office?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

When can we expect our tickets?

Tickets are normally shipped 2-6 weeks before each event.

Tickets ordered 2 weeks prior to the event will be held at will call.

Where is Will Call?

Will call packets can be picked up starting Thursday of race week at the Embassy Suites Hotel, located at 1441 Canyon Del Rey in Seaside, CA 93955.
